my ideal event...

My Reasoning...

its all pretty obvious stuff but just to explain myself a bit...

Uniqueness obvious really- it's important to strive to say something new
Multidisciplinity probably not a word. I don't want us to feel limited by our subject. people have strengths and passions which lie in other areas. Jordan and his film stuff, Miriams writing, Pete's zine making etc etc. i think all these things, if appropriate should be incorperated. If someone wants to knit for example they should do.
Group work/Independent work balance i don't want everyones individual flair to get smothered by work we've done all together.
Building I'm quite interested in this at the moment. its something we started talking about when we were doing the 2012 show, building the jungle etc, and it something we wanted to do with the thames thing. i think we should do it! Obsessive wattle and daub type using anything we can get our hands on to build something- an environment/ a ship/ a vehicle of some kind/ a hut/ treehouse etc. etc.
Publicityobvious again, to get our names "out there" and to make the event a success- something that is noticed.
Audienceobvious.

Some Pictures of structures...

About the Thames...

The only reason I'm not so keen on the Thames project anymore is the fact that it's THE THAMES. If we did it on a different river or stream or a quieter stretch of the thames then I would still be up for it but I think there are going to be so many restrictions to do with the center of london that would smother our ideas.

An idea...

building techniques...

possible bad points about this idea:

too similar to Best Before maybe?
We would need to find a secure space to build our environment in- not necessarily impossible though.

I've got a horrible feeling everyone will just say this is too much work or too hard. It might be.
