BRENT WADDEN

HE IS REALLY WORTH CHECKING OUT IN TERMS OF HOW HE VIEWS STRUCTURES AND JUST HIS DRAWINGS ARE AWSOME AND I WISH I WAS HIM.

THESE WERE THE FIRST ONES I FOUND OF HIS WORK IN A BOOK WHOSE TITLE I HAVE FORGOTTEN. BUT THEY FEEL LIKE NETS, PROTO TYPES, ARCHIETECTS DRAWINGS, DRAWINGS OF AN OBJECT AND JUST REALLY STRONG IMAGES

THIS IS WORK HE DID FOR A SHOW IN BERLIN. I REALLY LIKE THE WAY THE DRAWING IS MORE COMPLEX THAN THE ACTUAL STRUCTURE - WHICH IS MADE FROM THE REALLY SIMPLE PYRAMID SHAPE. IT'S ALSO INTERESTING TO SEE HOW HE PUTS OBJECTS AND DRAWINGS TOGETHER. (HORRIBLE BLUE DRAWING)

I THINK IT IS INTERESTING TO THINK ABOUT THE SURFACE OF THE STRUCTURES WE BUILD. ARE WE HAVING THE STRUCTURES IN THEIR RAW STATE I.E BARE CARDBOARD OR PLAIN PAPER OR ARE WE DRAWING/PRINTING ON TO THE SURFACES? CAN YOU SCREEN PRINT ON TO CARDBOARD? I REALLY LOVE THE DRAWINGS FLO DID AND I THINK ALL OF THE DRAWINGS WE HAVE SO FAR (CHLOE//PETER//KATIE ETC) ARE WORTH CONSIDERING AS MAYBE BEING RE INTRODUCED TO THE 3D OBJECTS AFTERWARDS?? I KNOW IT'S NOT SO IDEAS BASED ANYMORE, BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE A WASTE IF WE DIDN'T TRY STUFF OUT LIKE THAT...?

MORE OF HIS STUFF...
